Our apartment is overgrowing with mold, there’s mold in our ventilation, it’s growing on my clothes. We have spent $200+ on dehumidifiers, damp buckets, and air purifiers but nothing is working. We have told the complex. They came out to “clean it” once but only wiped down some spots. There must be a leak somewhere or something causing this but at this point it’s not safe to be living in our apartment but our apartment doesn’t really seem to care. Unfortunately for us, there’s a mold addendum in our lease which makes it our responsibility to take care of. We just need help breaking our lease, moving into a new place, and replacing stuff that was destroyed by mold. We are all getting very sick from this as well, to the point that I had to call out of my job which we can’t really afford to do.
