I would prefer to keep my identity annomanus for safety reasons and also humiliation reasons. I am a 33 year old woman with a a loving friendly dog who is a big meaning to my life the reason I continue. I never expected to be asking for help like this, but I’ve reached a point where I can’t rebuild alone.
I am currently without a fixed address. While I’m grateful that family members sometimes let me stay, I am constantly moving and often forced to return to environments where I previously experienced physical, mental, and financial abuse. Being in those spaces again has been deeply retraumatizing and has made healing extremely difficult.
I live with severe hearing loss and PTSD, alongside debilitating depression. These challenges have made me vulnerable to exploitation, including having my belongings taken and denied, leaving me feeling unsafe and without support.
I lost everything in a previous relationship and was left with over £15,000 in debt, which severely damaged my credit and further added to fear of trusting people and struggle to recover I am paying for that mistake monthly as I was tricked and promised i wouldn’t be left with it. Because of this, securing housing has been incredibly difficult. Even when I find potential options, I cannot save enough for a deposit and initial rent while trying to survive day-to-day without stability.
My dog is my constant companion and essential to my emotional wellbeing. Finding safe, pet-friendly housing has been an additional barrier, but she is not optional — she is family and part of how I cope. As I am severely deaf and at the moment can’t even afford replacement hearing aids.
I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for safety, stability, and the chance to rebuild my life with dignity.
Funds raised will go toward:
• A rental deposit and initial rent
• Basic furniture and household essentials
• Moving and transport costs
• Securing a stable address so I can begin to recover and rebuild
My goal is simple: to stop waking up in places where I was hurt, and to finally have a safe home where I can heal and move forward.
