Help me and my family survive the genocide and famine

Hello all,

Help Me and my family survive the genocide and famine and Rebuild our future: Education, hope, and healing in Gaza!

I am Anika and I am raising money for my friend Mohammed Aloosh and his family who are in Jabalya City in the north of Gaza facing death and famine and hardships due to ongoing genocide since almost 2 years. You can get to know Mohammeds family story in the following text:

My name is Mohammed Aloosh, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult periods of my life.

I am from Jabalia, North Gaza, where my family and I have endured the devastating realities of war and genocide. The losses I have suffered are beyond words. I have lost many beloved people—cousins, relatives, and close friends—and the home where we built our lives. Our house was completely destroyed by rockets, and over the past months, my family and I have been forcibly displaced more than 27 times in our search for safety.

As a result of this war, I also lost my job, my freelance contracts, my workspace, and the small business I worked tirelessly to build. Today, life in northern Gaza has become a daily struggle for survival. Food is extremely scarce, and we have been living under famine-like conditions for more than a year and a half. Rebuilding even the most basic necessities feels impossible without support.

Currently, my family has no permanent home. We are renting a small flat in Gaza City at a cost of 800 USD per month, an amount that is extremely difficult to sustain under these conditions, especially with no stable income and rising prices.

Despite these overwhelming hardships, I have been given a glimmer of hope. I have received an offer to pursue a Master’s degree in Italy. This opportunity represents not only a chance to rebuild my life, but also a way to one day support my family and contribute to the recovery of my community. Unfortunately, severe financial constraints threaten my ability to continue this path.

In addition to my own educational challenges, three members of my family are currently university students, and their education is at serious risk due to the inability to pay university tuition fees amid the ongoing crisis.

I am seeking support to help cover the following urgent needs:
• Food and essential supplies for my family in Gaza, where access to basic necessities remains critically limited.
• Monthly rent (800 USD) for our temporary flat in Gaza City, as we currently have no other safe place to live.
• Temporary shelter alternatives, including tents, if we are forced to leave again.

• University tuition fees for three family members whose education is now at risk.

Any support, no matter how small, would make a profound difference in our lives. With your help, tragedy can be transformed into resilience, and loss into hope. I firmly believe that education is not only a personal lifeline, but also a powerful tool for long-term change.

Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and belief in humanity.

With deep gratitude,
Mohammed Aloosh
