Escape from Death
My name is Sahar Al-Khatib, I live in Gaza with my small family, and I own a pioneering project in "electronic marketing" for children's clothing. It has been my dream for years to own a children's clothing store. I outlined my dreams, began planning and executing them. Just two days before the war, I paid a financial amount to receive the largest shipment of clothes to realize my project that I had been longing for. But on the morning of October 7th, everything stopped in the Gaza world.
The building where my family and I live was directly hit by shelling, and shrapnel and explosion debris of stones and glass scattered on us. We hurriedly fled among the rubble, with the fear and screams of my children not ceasing for a moment. From that moment, we decided to flee to the south of the Strip, to the "safe zone," walking (20 kilometers), which is approximately 3 hours of continuous walking amidst military vehicles and scattered shells in front of us.
In the south, specifically in the city of Rafah, called the "safe zone," a very small area "64 square kilometers" that used to accommodate "300 thousand people," and now more than a million and a half are displaced to it. Due to the repeated Israeli bombardment, the city's services and all aspects of life were affected by water, electricity, communications, and food shortages, making it the bare minimum for survival. My children and I moved between 6 different shelters, between shelters and tents, searching for water and fleeing from repeated bombing and threats.
We exhausted all means to find a safe place for me and my children and found none.
I never expected to be in this situation in the end. You are the only option to save my family. We have survived 5 wars and many Israeli occupation attacks since I opened my eyes to this world. This aggression in its 183 days is the worst aggression that words cannot describe and that no human mind can imagine. I ask for your support to help me, my husband, and my children to leave Gaza. We are living the most miserable life imaginable.
Your help may be the reason my children live in peace! Help us evacuate from the hellish genocide in Gaza!

Before 7th October 2023, we had a wonderful, peaceful house filled with memories, preserving our secrets, laughter, and even tears.
Since the first day of the war, the house has been hit by shells, shrapnel, and gradually suffered moderate damage. We tried to restore it little by little to continue our lives as they were before the war.
By 20/3/2024, the house was completely destroyed, and memories continued to haunt us whenever we looked at the pre-war photos on our phones.
Now we are in tents, homeless, suffering from the hardest conditions and the poorest resources, with no clear plan for the future of our children, neither health-wise nor educationally. Please, my friends, help us regain hope in our hearts and save our children to a safer place from this fierce war.
