I never imagined I’d be in a situation like this. After surviving a coma, learning to walk again, and enduring three concussions and septic shock, I’ve found myself struggling to keep up with medical bills and rent. My two dogs are all I have—they fill the void left by losing my mom, and their unconditional love keeps me going. They mean the world to me, and without them, life wouldn’t be worth living.
The financial strain has been overwhelming. I owe $900 for an ambulance ride and $19.72 for medications given to me on the way to the hospital. Because of my health setbacks, I haven’t been able to work, and now I’m unable to pay my rent. My landlord is planning to go to the courthouse in two weeks, and I’m terrified of losing the only home my dogs and I have. I’ve even had to feed them old cat food I found because I have no money for dog food, and it breaks my heart to see them go without.
Any help or support will make a difference. I’m ashamed to ask, but I’m desperate to keep my little family together. I promise to pay it forward when I’m able to work again, because I’ve always been honest and dependable. I’ve spent my life giving to others, and now I find myself needing help. I would be deeply grateful for anything you can give. Thank you for reading my story and for considering a donation to help me and my dogs.
