I am the Palestinian child Hassan Abu Salamiya. I am 10 years old.
I will narrate to you some of the events that happened with me and my family since the seventh of October. I have five sisters including my twins Janan ❤️ and my mother and father ❤️
We used to live a very beautiful, happy and peaceful life and we had a beautiful house to live in. My four brothers and I celebrated our birthday, two days before the war. My twin, Janan, and I. We were very happy.
We went to school every day. I excelled very well in my studies and was very happy with my school friends. Then October 7th came and our lives were turned upside down. Our house was completely destroyed, suddenly turning into a pile of rubble. My memories of me and my brothers are under the rubble. Our dream and childhood were destroyed. We went to my grandfather and grandmother, then their house was bombed as well. Then we were displaced to my aunt’s house, then to the south, and then we headed to Khan Yunis, then Rafah, and now we live in Deir al-Balah. I did not tell you anything important. I was not able to take anything from our house, my toys, my clothes, my books .. They were all under the rubble The war destroyed our childhood and made us endure the hardship of displacement. I now spend my days searching for water and food and collecting firewood under the blazing sun. Everything around us has become polluted, and all diseases and epidemics have spread, and there is a lack of treatments and medicines. Currently, we do not have any shelter, food, drink, medicine, or any other necessities of life I want you to help me regain my childhood.
I want to complete my studies like the rest of the children in the world. I want to live in safety and peace. I, my brothers, and my family. I want to feel stable, even for a short time. My head hurts from stress, anxiety, and lack of sleep because of the constant presence of the plane above us. Can you help me? We no longer have a house, no money, no school, or anything. Please help us .
