Help Me (and my 2 cats) Get Debt Free Plz

Hi! My name is Ashlynn Jamie Barker & I'm a transgender/nonbinary person living in Chicago, IL. Thanks for taking a moment to read this! I'm really grateful for your consideration and possible support.

You may know my work from fake gamer comics or my music or my games (I've made a lot of weird, cool art over the years ~ IMO). Even though I've had ~ some ~ financial success with my work, it's always been inconsistent & at times unsustainable for my mental health. For context, I'm neurodivergent (ADHD/Autism) & I struggle with depression and anxiety. On top of that, I've experienced a lot of abuse and SA in my adult life, since coming out nearly a decade ago in Kentucky & Tennessee. Yeah, THAT Kentucky & THAT Tennessee.

Since 2020, I had around $6000 in dental work done, adopted two cats for my mental health (which has been amazing), started therapy, have had MANY doctor appointments, and paid for many vet visits for one of my cat's infected eyes ($1,000+ in vet bills), moved into an apartment on my own (great choice, but expensive), and also left a few horrible jobs & unhealthy/abusive relationships in that time trying to figure out how to move forwards in my life. All of this stuff piled up into a small amount of debt that feels... insurmountable currently. :/

In the past six months, I've been in therapy and I have been progressing a lot & I'm really optimistic about the future... Truly, it's been a great experience. I'm doing a lot better, other than struggling to catch up on this debt that piled up since the pandemic.

I don't expect this debt to all be covered by strangers ~ but after some thinking and reflecting on my situation ~ I want to at least ask. Getting out of debt at this time would mean I'd be able to focus even harder on recovery & I'd be able to focus on getting diagnosed and treated for my mental health issues.

I really am grateful for any support. Please know that it makes a huge difference in my life. The funds will 100% be used to pay off the debt I have & I'd love to be in a better spot to make interesting, queer, neurodivergent, weird art for my community.
