Help Me Afford Surgery for Endometriosis
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kristen, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit.
For years, I’ve been suffering in silence with not just one, but two debilitating chronic illnesses:
➤ Endometriosis
➤ Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)
These diseases have taken so much from me—my health, my energy, my ability to work consistently, and my quality of life.
Endometriosis causes me crippling pelvic pain, nausea, fatigue, and inflammation that has worsened over time. It has affected my fertility and left me feeling like a stranger in my own body.
HS, a painful skin condition that causes recurring abscesses and open wounds, making it hard to move, sit, or even sleep. It is not just physically painful—it's emotionally exhausting and deeply isolating.
I’ve spent years going from doctor to doctor, often being dismissed or misdiagnosed. I’ve tried medications, hormonal treatments, and diet changes—but nothing has brought real, lasting relief. The truth is: I need surgery. Specialized excision surgery for endometriosis is my best hope of reclaiming any sense of normalcy. But there’s one heartbreaking catch: it’s expensive, and most of it is not covered by insurance.
The cost of surgery, travel to a specialist, recovery, and follow-up care is overwhelming, easily exceeding $18,000. I’ve tried everything. I’ve pushed through work on my worst days, drained my savings, and looked for every possible alternative. But now, I have to admit: I need help.
This isn’t easy to write. I never imagined I’d be in this position—asking for support. But if this surgery can give me even a chance at living pain-free, at one day having a family, at simply being myself again—it’s worth everything.
If you can donate, even just a small amount, you’ll be helping more than you know. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to. Every share, every message of support, every dollar—it all means something to me.
Thank you for reading my story. Thank you for caring. And thank you for helping me believe that healing is still possible.
With deep gratitude,
Kristen
