My name is Mariia, and I am a former Cirque du Soleil performer.
Two years ago, I suffered a life-changing fall while working in the United States. The accident caused multiple facial fractures and required major reconstructive surgery and a wrist surgery.
Although I survived and worked hard to recover, I continue to live with persistent double vision and other long-term complications. Recent medical evaluations confirmed ongoing problems affecting my vision, jaw, facial symmetry, breathing, and daily life. Doctors have recommended additional treatment and surgeries.
For a long time, I believed I would recover, return to work, and handle everything on my own. That is why I never opened a fundraiser, even when people offered to help after my accident.
Unfortunately, ongoing medical, insurance, legal, and immigration complications have made my situation increasingly difficult. My access to treatment remains uncertain, and I cannot fully return to my profession while my future surgeries are still ahead of me.
The funds raised will help cover medical appointments, specialist consultations, diagnostic testing, travel expenses related to treatment, legal expenses connected to my case, and future surgeries.
For years, I shared my knowledge and experience online without ever asking for financial support. Today, I am asking for help because I can no longer manage these expenses alone.
Any donation or share of this fundraiser means more than I can express. Thank you for supporting my recovery.
