Help me afford life-changing acid reflux surgery

Hi, my name is Shannon and I'm starting this page to get some help with paying for a surgery I am in serious need of. I have a condition known as a hiatus hernia which means that my stomach has moved up into the middle compartment of my abdomen.

This means acid from my stomach moves into my oesophagus very easily causing terrible acid reflux several times a day. I have been experiencing these symptoms for around two years now and as you can imagine the pain is pretty difficult to deal with. Because of the issues with my hernia, both dietary and lifestyle changes are not effective, and medication is really only an ineffective, temporary cover for my symptoms.

Fortunately for me, there has been a surgical procedure developed known as LINX surgery in which a small magnetic band is placed around the oesophagus which stops acid from travelling up my throat, thereby stopping the reflux.

Unfortunately, the procedure isn't free and would cost £8,500. I know that money is tight at the moment which is why I only feel comfortable trying to raise enough for a deposit and my initial consultation with the doctor. I am going to try to save for the rest of the surgery myself.

I really need your help to get started along the path toward getting this surgery and getting rid of the pain I experience constantly, so I would really appreciate any contributions you can make.
