I've worked hard my whole life, always doing my best to provide for myself and my children. Most recently, I was a manager at Subway, working over 90 hours a week. Unfortunately, I suffered a heart attack on the job, and my doctor told me I should apply for disability. Since then, I've been turned down four times, and while I keep trying, the process means I can't work right now. This has left me in a really tough spot—I'm homeless, struggling to afford my heart medication, and doing everything I can to stay healthy for my kids.

The money raised here will go directly toward my heart medication for the next few months, as well as food, some clothes, and a little help with rent. These essentials will help me stay out of the hospital and give me a chance to get back on my feet. My children have moved out, but I still want to be there for them and make sure they don't miss out just because their mother is sick.

I'm not the kind of person to ask for help, but right now, I really need support. I have no family left—my parents have passed away—and asking for help from the family I do have hasn't worked out. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will help me get closer to affording my medication and staying healthy for my children.
