Help Me Afford Gender-Affirming Surgery (FFS)
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Stevie. I’m trans, and after years of planning, I finally have a date set for facial feminization surgery (FFS)—a life-changing, gender-affirming procedure. It’s scheduled five months from now, and I’m so close to making it a reality.
Unfortunately, insurance is currently refusing to cover it because the surgeon I chose is out-of-network. It has taken me two years and $7500 to secure a surgery date. I’ve already done deep research, consultations, and pre-op prep with a surgeon whose work I trust and admire.
The total cost of the procedure is $90,000. I’ve already saved $55,000, and I’m doing everything I can to close the gap: using credit responsibly and I'm preparing to take out a personal loan. But to ensure that I can keep my September surgery date, I’m asking for help raising $25,000 to bridge the gap and give me breathing room for surgery, recovery, and travel-related costs.
FFS isn’t cosmetic—it’s affirming. It’s about being able to move through the world safely, confidently, and authentically. It will change how I experience my life every single day.
If you can contribute, even a little, you’ll be helping me take a massive step toward living as fully and safely as possible. And if you can’t give, sharing this with others means the world.
If I can get my insurance to cover/reimburse me, I would be more than happy to reimburse anyone who requests it some time after the surgery.
If you read all this, then I think you're neat beans.
