update 9/28: my dear sweet baby angel chloe degrassi crossed the rainbow bridge at home in my arms last wednesday after a really tough battle with lymphoma. everybody who met her knew she was truly a special cat, and everybody who’s talked to me in the nearly four years since i adopted her knows how much ive loved her. she went from living on the streets to getting kicked out of the brooklyn cat cafe for bullying the other cats to sleeping either on or above my bed every single night, waking me up every single day for breakfast, and following up the thousands of kisses she gave me with gentle bites so i never forgot where i stood with her. my heart is truly broken and i miss her so so dearly
update 9/9: chloe has severe anemia and so far requires two full days of hospitalization and a blood transfusion. they suspect the anemia is being caused by cancer or an autoimmune disorder. i don't know how long the testing and treatment is going to take, or how she's going to take to any of it
hi everyone, my cat chloe's been sick and not eating for over two weeks now. we're up to two ER visits and three vet visits total, they suspect pancreatitis which is incredibly painful and difficult to treat.
anybody who's met me knows how much i love my cat and anyone who's talked to me in the last week or so knows how devastating this has been for me. and anybody who's met chloe knows how much she loves food, so it's doubly devastating.
unfortunately, the bills for her treatment have been piling up. so far, she's received xrays, an ultrasound, multiple rounds of bloodwork, lots of medication, and an enema (which was no fun for anyone involved). i'm currently writing this while waiting for the results of the ultrasound and bloodwork. many friends have suggested i make a gofundme as a way of asking for help. please only donate as much as you wouldn't miss <3
