My mum has been severely disabled for years now, her mobility slowly but surely declining. It’s been really hard on her. And last year her recliner broke. Being able to raise her feet is really important due to her edoema, which swells her legs and makes it even harder for her to stand and move around on her own. Being unable to raise her feet has even led to the development of plantar fascilitis, which makes her feet feel like they are burning constantly.
Another thing that the recliner helped with was standing up, as it raised and supported her in doing so.
I really want to get her a new one so her symptoms can settle down, and it’s nearly her birthday. I figure there’s no better time to surprise her with a new one.
