Help Me Adopt the Dog Who Can Change My Health Journey

Hi, my name is McKenzie Wilson. I live with a chronic autoimmune disorder that affects both my heart and nervous system. This illness makes everyday life a real challenge—simple tasks like getting ready in the morning, doing laundry, or even making it through a workday can take everything out of me. I’ve battled this for most of my life, and while I do my best to stay strong, I’ve realized I need extra support to keep my independence and improve my quality of life.

That’s why I’ve been exploring the option of a service animal. Service dogs can be life-changing—they provide not only physical support but also emotional comfort, helping people like me manage daily struggles. Unfortunately, the cost of adopting and training a service dog can be overwhelming, often running into the thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars.

Recently, while volunteering at a local animal shelter, I met a dog who truly feels like my soul dog. The connection was instant, and I believe he has the potential to be trained to assist me with my day-to-day needs. I want to dedicate my time, love, and energy into training him to become the partner I need to live a more stable, fulfilling life.

This GoFundMe will help cover his adoption fee, ESA (Emotional Support Animal) registration, as well as essentials like food, a bed, and toys to make his transition into my life smooth and full of love. This GoFundMe will also go towards training him to help me with my daily tasks.
