Hi, I’m aurora and i live in Italy. I’ve been to the greek islands a few weeks ago and on Sifnos i absolutely fell in love with a kitty. Knowing I shouldn’t, i obviously named her, Araminta, and I got extremely attached to her in just a few days. I was unable to bring Araminta back home at that time (the airline i was flying back with didn’t allow animals & she didn’t have documents), but I’m planning to go back to Sifnos to get her and bring her home to Italy with me. “But she’s on a beautiful island, she doesn’t need to go back to Italy with you”. Except i was told by several people that cats get poisoned during autumn and winter on a number of island, Sifnos included. She’s so smart, playful and full of energy. She loved trying to steal my breakfast yogurt. She used to run to me anytime she heard my voice. Anytime I called her name. I used to sneak her in my room and just watch her play with the curtains, or my shoe laces. I love her so much. She’s mine in my heart. I can’t stand by doing nothing, knowing she probably won’t see next summer. I won’t ever be able to forgive myself. And so, here I am, asking for funds to go back to her. Between the costs of the Vet for her vaccines, the microchip and documentation to travel, plus our plane tickets, the ferries and accomodation (i will need a few days, because during colder months the sea gets “agitated” and ferries are unreliable) it’s too expensive for me alone unfortunately. Hoping someone here would like to help me bring Araminta home to me, where i’ve known in my heart since i first met her, she belongs.
