Hi! My name is Allison Rios and I am fundraising money for myself to study abroad to Alicante, Spain. I am a straight A student at Cristo Rey Jesuit with a current GPA of 3.7. I come from a single immigrant mom who earns minimum wage. While also taking care of my three older brothers and I. She works days and nights for 6 days a week to provide enough for us to have the education and essentials we need. Two of my brothers have been fortunate enough to be able to go out of the country under the same program I applied for. I have also been fortunate enough to earn the privilege of earning a scholarship which covers most of my trip paid for. Unfortunately, it does not cover the cost for my airfare and other extras in my trip. Through this once in a life time opportunity, I'll be able to experience new cultures and develop a better understanding of the world. As it has always been a dream of mine to study abroad and this is hopefully the first of many trips for that. After high school I have the objective of getting a higher education, attending college and possibly earring a master's degree. Giving back to my mom who has worked as hard to get me to where I am and has always encouraged me to be the best that I can and pursue my greatest potential. Thank You!
