Speed. Ice. Precision. One mistake—and it’s over.

My name is Kaloyan Markov, I’m 16 years old and I’m an alpine ski racer from Bulgaria, competing for Moten Ski Club.

This year has been a big step forward for me—I achieved two 1st place finishes in national races. These results showed me that I’m ready to take the next step.

Now, I’m entering FIS competitions.

This is where everything changes. The level is higher, the competition is international, and every hundredth of a second matters. My goal for my first year in FIS is to reach 60 FIS points—a challenging but realistic target that would put me on the path toward higher-level racing.

But reaching this level comes with serious costs.

Training camps, travel to races, coaching, and professional equipment—skis, boots, and race gear—are all essential to perform at this level. These expenses add up quickly, and they are the biggest obstacle standing between me and my progress.

I’m fully committed to this journey. I train hard, stay focused, and push myself every day to improve.
