**Update on My Journey and Current Situation**
I want to take a moment to share an update on my health journey. I have recently come to the end of my treatment at the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital, and I am incredibly grateful for the care and support I have received so far.
However, the journey is not over yet. I am currently awaiting a crucial scan, which is scheduled for the 12th and 13th of February. This scan will determine the next steps in my treatment plan—whether I am eligible for surgery or if another form of treatment will be necessary.
I will receive the results of the scan and a further update from my consultant on Tuesday, 17th February. This will be a pivotal moment in determining the path forward, and I am hopeful for positive news.
As many of you know, this has been an incredibly challenging time, both physically and emotionally.
Unfortunately, I have also encountered a significant financial setback. I recently discovered that the health cover I believed I was enrolled in was incorrect, and as a result, it does not cover a substantial portion of my treatment expenses. This was an oversight on my part, and I deeply regret the added stress this has caused.
With this in mind, I regret to inform you that I have had to increase the fundraising goal once again.
The costs associated with my treatment, scans, and potential surgery are substantial, and I am reaching out to ask for your continued support during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and help alleviate the financial burden as I focus on my health and recovery.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. It means more to me than words can express.

Hi, my name is Ben Sampson, and I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart. I am a father to beautiful children, and I’m currently fighting a battle with cancer that I’ve already faced once before.
A year ago, I successfully beat a sarcoma tumour, but unfortunately, it has returned.
These tumours need to be controlled as quickly as possible. Without effective treatment, they could become devastating. After experiencing delays and cancellations in my current treatment due to health issues, I’ve made the decision to seek private care with The Royal Marsden — a leading cancer treatment centre in the UK — to access more immediate and targeted treatments.
The care I’ve received at The Royal Marsden has been invaluable, but going private will allow me to be seen and treated more efficiently, potentially saving my life and giving me the best chance to continue being there for my children.
I’m asking for your support in raising £12,000 to help cover the cost of my private treatment. Every penny raised will go directly towards funding my care, allowing me to access the treatment I urgently need.
The cost of this treatment is significantly higher than the target i have set, but reaching this goal will allow me to take the next crucial steps.
Once I have hit my target, I am committed to doing everything possible to make up the difference through personal efforts and other means. Your contributions will give me the foundation i need to move forward, and I am grateful for your support during this challenging time.
This is not just about me — it’s about my children and my desire to be there for them for many more years to come. Your generosity can make a huge difference in my fight for survival. Any donation, no matter how small, will mean the world to me and my family.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this incredibly difficult time.
