Hi guys, Aide here. As most of you know, I have lived with Type 2 Diabetes for a few years now. Everyday is a struggle with rising costs and negotiating coverage with insurance. I am reaching out for help because I am in urgent need of funding to purchase my diabetes medication and supplies out of pocket. My insurance, CareOregon, has denied coverage for the medication that has always worked for me, and as a result, my A1C is now dangerously high. This situation has put my health at serious risk, and I am struggling to find a way forward without the medication that has kept me stable for the past two years.

The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing my diabetes medication, Mounjaro, supplies, and a few months of continuous glucose monitors. Unfortunately, CareOregon is requiring me to try two other medications over a span of 12 weeks before they will consider covering Mounjaro and even then, there is still a chance they will deny coverage again. In the meantime, my A1C has risen to over 13%, and because of this, my very long-awaited top surgery has been postponed for at least another three to six months. This has been incredibly discouraging, as I have waited years for this surgery, and now it feels even farther out of reach.
