Hi, my name is Fernando.

I'm a 32 year old transgender man from El Salvador, currently living and working in Ireland.

When something is important to me, I like to take my time and do things properly.

Over the past two years, I've worked hard to build a healthier, happier life. Starting testosterone was one of the biggest milestones of my transition, but it was only the beginning. Since then, I've focused on improving my physical and mental health, creating healthier habits, exercising consistently, eating better, and preparing myself for the next step in my journey.

That next step is gender-affirming top surgery.

Wearing a binder for long hours is physically uncomfortable, especially because I work full time in hospitality. It also affects my workouts and many simple parts of everyday life. My goal isn't perfection, it's simply to live more comfortably, work more comfortably, and enjoy daily life without constantly thinking about my chest.

This isn't a decision I made overnight.

For more than a year, I've dedicated countless hours to researching surgeons, comparing clinics across Europe, reading about different surgical techniques, planning my recovery, understanding every stage of the process, and carefully calculating every expense involved.

I've researched accommodation, transportation, flights, medical tests, and everything I'll need before and after surgery. I've asked questions, attended consultations, compared options, and created a realistic plan because I believe something this important deserves careful preparation.

After all that research, I chose Dr. Francesco Moscatiello and Safe Rebirth Clinic in Andorra. From my first consultation, I felt confident in both the medical team and the care they provide. Knowing I'll be in experienced hands gives me peace of mind.

While I've been saving as much as I can, I also work full-time, pay my everyday living expenses, and continue meeting my financial responsibilities. Even with careful planning and saving, the total cost of surgery and recovery is simply more than I can manage on my own.

That's why I've decided to ask for help.

Every donation will go directly toward making this surgery possible, including:

• Gender-affirming top surgery: €7,000

• Required pre-operative medical tests: €500

• Flights and Transportation: €700

• Accommodation during recovery: €1,400

• Post-operative medication and essential recovery expenses: €400

These are estimated costs and may vary slightly depending on travel and medical expenses.

I'm not expecting anyone to fund this journey for me.

I'll continue saving, working, and contributing every euro I can myself.

This fundraiser is simply a way to help bridge the gap between what I can save on my own and the total cost of finally making this surgery a reality.

I also want this fundraiser to be transparent from beginning to end.
