Hi, my name is Elias. I’m a 19-year-old trans man, and I’m reaching out because I need help affording access to gender-affirming care.

I’ve struggled with gender dysphoria for a long time, along with severe social anxiety and a panic disorder. These challenges made it really hard for me to stay in school, and I had to leave before graduating.

Gender-affirming care, like hormone therapy, consultations, travel and hopefully top surgery in the future, would make a huge difference in my mental health and quality of life. It would help me with living comfortably without having to hide myself.

Unfortunately, insurance either doesn’t cover it or makes the process incredibly difficult and slow.
