Hi everyone, my name is Caroline Helms, and I am a high school student from Berlin.

A few days ago, I received an offer of admission from the St. Stepen´s School in Rome, where I would have the opportunity to pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

This opportunity means more to me than I can fully express. For years, I have worked toward the goal of studying in an international academic environment, and being accepted feels like a door opening to a completely different future.

However, there is one major obstacle: the financial reality.

In order to secure my place, I need to pay an enrollment deposit of €10,000 within a very limited timeframe. The total cost of attending amounts to approximately €40,000–50,000, but the immediate priority is securing this initial deposit.

My family is doing what they can, but we are not in a position to cover these costs. Over the past two months, I have reached out to numerous foundations, organizations, and individuals, trying to find a way to make this possible. While I received many kind responses, I have not yet been able to secure the financial support needed.

That is why I am turning to you.

I am not trying to solve everything at once, but to take the first essential step. Reaching this €10,000 goal would allow me to accept my place and continue working toward covering the remaining costs.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me closer to making this opportunity real.

Ich wurde vor Kurzem an einer internationalen Schule angenommen, an der ich das IB-Diplom absolvieren kann. Diese Chance bedeutet mir unglaublich viel, da ich seit Jahren darauf hinarbeite, in einem internationalen Umfeld zu lernen und mich weiterzuentwickeln.

Leider gibt es eine große Herausforderung: Um meinen Platz zu sichern, muss ich kurzfristig eine Anzahlung von 10.000 € leisten. Die gesamten Kosten belaufen sich auf etwa 40.000–50.000 €, jedoch ist der erste entscheidende Schritt diese Anzahlung. Meine Familie kann mich nur begrenzt unterstützen, und trotz vieler Anfragen bei Stiftungen und Organisationen konnte ich bisher noch keine ausreichende Finanzierung finden.

Deshalb habe ich einen Spendenaufruf gestartet, um diesen ersten wichtigen Schritt möglich zu machen.

Jeder Beitrag, egal in welcher Höhe, hilft mir enorm weiter. Und auch das Teilen des Links kann einen großen Unterschied machen.
