Six one-week-old puppies were found Thursday afternoon, abandoned inside a pink bag behind a parked vehicle's tire in the McPherson Walmart parking lot.
All six are alive — but they're only a week old. Their eyes are barely open. They can't eat on their own. Right now, shelter workers are taking shifts around the clock, bottle-feeding them every few hours.
That kind of care isn't cheap, and our small shelter wasn't planning for six newborns this week.
100% of proceeds go directly to the McPherson Animal Shelter to cover:
-Puppy milk replacer formula
-Bottles, heating pads, and round-the-clock care supplies
-Veterinary checkups and the first round of vaccinations
-Deworming and any medical treatment they end up needing
-Spay/neuter and adoption preparation once they're old enough
They've got a long road ahead, and they're going to need all of McPherson behind them.
Every dollar helps. If you can't give, please share.
