Help Laureen Rebuild McKenzie Stables After Devastating Storm Damage
On Saturday, October 18, a severe weather event tore through our area and left McKenzie Stables—home to so many horses, riders, and memories—devastated. The storm ripped a significant portion of the roof off the main barn structure, leaving it unsafe and exposed to the elements.
Our beloved owner and trainer, Laureen McKenzie, has poured her heart, time, and resources into caring for horses and creating a welcoming community for riders of all ages. For years, Laureen has been the first to lend a hand to others in need—always putting her horses, students, and boarders before herself. Now, she needs our help.
Unfortunately, the barn roof was not insured, leaving Laureen with the enormous challenge of rebuilding entirely out of pocket. The costs for materials, labor, and repairs are already mounting, and immediate action is needed to ensure the horses remain safe and the facility can continue to operate through the winter.
We are asking our community—friends, riders, neighbors, and anyone who knows the spirit of McKenzie Stables—to come together to support Laureen. Every contribution, big or small, will go directly toward rebuilding the barn roof and restoring the stable we all love.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign to help spread the word.
Let’s help Laureen and McKenzie Stables rise again—stronger than ever.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
❤️ The McKenzie Stables Family
