Hi everyone,

I never thought l'd be in a position to write something like this, but today, I'm reaching out on behalf of my incredible sister-in-law, Mackenzie. She is in urgent need of a liver transplant, and we are doing everything we can to raise the funds necessary to save her life. Mackenzie has always been the kind of person who puts everyone else first. She is a loving Aunty/wife/friend, always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or brighten someone's day. But now, she is facing the toughest battle of her life.

After years of struggling silently, doctors have confirmed that a transplant is her only hope. While we are relieved that she is on the transplant list, the financial burden that comes with this surgery is overwhelming. Without insurance, the out-of-pocket costs for hospital stays are staggering. On top of that, after the transplant, she will need to stay at a specialized treatment centre for recovery, which adds another major expense.

We are raising this money for:

• Post-surgery treatment and rehabilitation

• Travel and lodging for Mackenzie and her caregivers

• Medications and ongoing medical care
