I am only 16 credits away from graduating college, but I am unable to register for my final classes due to an outstanding tuition balance. I’m asking for support to help me take this final step and complete my degree.
Hi, my name is Mckenzie Cumbo, and I am a senior at Northern Illinois University majoring in Organizational/Corporate Communication. I was raised on the South Side of Chicago, and pursuing higher education has always been one of my biggest goals.
After years of hard work and dedication, I am now only two semesters away from earning my degree, with just 16 credits remaining before graduation. While I am incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, I am currently facing financial challenges that are preventing me from registering for my final classes.
During my time at NIU, I have stayed active on campus through organizations and opportunities that have helped me grow both personally and professionally. Being involved has strengthened my leadership and communication skills and allowed me to build meaningful connections within the university community. These experiences have played a major role in shaping my goals for the future and the career I want to build in communications.
I am raising funds to help pay down my tuition balance so I can continue my education and complete my final year at NIU. These funds will directly allow me to get back into classes, stay on track for graduation, and continue working toward the future I have worked so hard to build.
My long-term goal is to build a successful career in communications where I can use my voice, creativity, and leadership to make meaningful impact within organizations and communities. I hope to inspire others from backgrounds like mine to keep pushing forward despite obstacles and to show that determination and resilience can open doors to greater opportunities.
Every donation, share, and word of encouragement truly means more than I can express and brings me one step closer to completing this important chapter of my life. Thank you so much for supporting my journey.
