My daughter, MaryEllen Crump, and her basketball team, the McClatchy Lions, have the opportunity to travel to China to meet and play international basketball. Not only will they play basketball, but they will also interact, expand, and broaden their horizons. They will show another side of the world that most are never privileged to see and take part in cultures, customs, and routines that are unlike ours.

On Friday night, the girls worked hard and defeated Folsom to capture the section championships for Division 1 high school girls basketball. MaryEllen is an athlete and an excellent student with a 3.6 GPA. She is an ROTC cadet and plans to join the Air Force when she graduates from high school.

Let’s support their trip to China, which will take place during spring break. No donation is too small. Let’s remember, the children are the future.
