Help Mazie Walk and Play Again
Our sweet 10-month-old Labrador Retriever, Mazie, has brought so much love and joy into our lives. After losing our beloved Lab, Maddie, two years ago, we finally felt ready to open our hearts to another puppy. Bringing Mazie into our family was a blessing, and she quickly became a cherished part of our lives.
A few months ago, we noticed that Mazie was limping, slowing down, and no longer wanting to run and play like a healthy puppy should. As her condition worsened, it became clear that she was in pain. After taking her to the veterinarian and undergoing examinations, we received devastating news: Mazie needs bilateral Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) surgeries on both of her back legs.
These surgeries are necessary to relieve her pain and allow her to walk, run, and enjoy life again. Without treatment, Mazie will continue to suffer and may face long-term mobility issues. The estimated cost of both surgeries and related care is approximately $12,000.
Unfortunately, this expense is beyond our family's financial means. We are already facing significant medical expenses while caring for my husband as he battles lung cancer. Between ongoing healthcare costs and everyday living expenses, we simply cannot afford the surgeries Mazie desperately needs.
We are asking for any help you can provide. No donation is too small, and if you are unable to donate, sharing Mazie's story would mean the world to us. Every contribution brings us one step closer to getting her the care she needs and helping her live a happy, pain-free life.
Mazie has brought light and comfort to our family during difficult times. We are hopeful that, with your support, we can get her back on her feet, out of pain, and back to being the playful puppy we know and love.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, support, and generosity.
With gratitude,
Mazie's Family
