One of the most selfless and genuinely kind angels that this earth has been blessed with, my dear friend Trish Kobialka, has a daughter that needs help in paying for the miracle Dr. to help her live a normal life.
Years ago the Kobialka family moved to South Korea for work. Shane, father and husband extraordinaire, is an Army Civilian employee with the Department of Defense. When Mayzie became ill they did not have the same privileges at the American Dr. offices and hospitals that the service men and women had, because they are not officially active military. Mayzie has developed a very severe and rare case of spinal cysts that have completely debilitated her. She needs a USA doctor and hospital.
She has had 63 surgeries and is no better than when they started. On top of that, her wounds have not healed and she can’t do the simplest thing like sitting without excruciating pain.
She hasn’t been able to attend school, or live life at all like most of us can. Also, when they were getting routine immunizations she was given an immunization that caused massive damage. That immunization was Gardisil. Mayzie shortly after that started with chronic and very severe pancreatitis. Her pancreas is slowly dying and she is almost unable to function from the pain and sickness that causes. The Kobialka family, Trish specifically, has been amazing and keeps on fighting for Mayzie.
She has found a Dr. in Wisconsin, he is the only one they’ve found that says he can help Mayzie. Trish and Mayzie will travel 7000 miles over 13 time zones to have her treated. They will stay in a hotel until her 10 day follow up and then return home. This is not the end but the beginning of hope for Mayzie. They do not have financial resources to dip into to pay for this, and as you can imagine they have mounds of medical debt with more looming before them.
What they do have is FRIENDS that LOVE them!! Let’s band together and help this family!! Let’s exceed the goal and really make a difference for this amazing family that has given to so many over the years.
Trish does not give up, she never has, and she will continue to do whatever it takes to help her sweet daughter live a normal life!
