I am the mother of four daughters, the oldest of whom I got married only one month ago ... but she soon widowed, and she returned to my bosom with a mourning dress, carrying greater pain than her life, and an indelible fracture.

My husband is sick, ravaged by the heart, pressure and diabetes, and every day his condition gets worse in the absence of medicine and care, and I am unable to his pain and painful silence.

Our house ... our only haven, was destroyed under the bombing. We no longer have a wall that she lives, nor a roof that we take shelter. We are displaced, we move from one place to another. We are looking for something of safety and we do not find it.

As for hunger ... it is the biggest catastrophe. No food, no clean water, not what blocks a small breath. Hunger ravages us, and the famine has become our hearts before our bodies. I see my daughters hurt, and I can't even embrace their pain.

These are not just words ... but a distress call from the heart of a mother who dies a day a thousand times.
