If you've ever met Mayrita you will know that she is one of the most special people you will ever meet. That she has a heart of gold and that she will do anything in her power to make sure people are fed, clothed and cared for.

Now she needs a little bit of help. For the last two years Mayra has been caring for her husband Dan, who's been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of dementia. Dan’s health has deteriorated very quickly and so has Mayra’s.  

Mayrita suffers from neuropathy which leaves her with debilitating pain in her limbs and prevents her from working. Earlier this year she went through a double surgery which stopped her from being able to physically care for Dan. With great pain,  she was forced to seek help and place Dan in an assisted care home.

In order to finance the home, she's had to cut down on her expenses and make some significant sacrifices. One of which has been letting go of her car. Without a car she needs to rely on lifts to visit Dan and run errands in her town. 

The money collected in this campaign will help Mayrita find a used car and pay for some extra expenses while she gets back on her feet. This has been a challenging time for everyone in the family, but especially for her.

Si conoces a Mayrita, sabes que ella es una de las personas más especiales que jamás conocerás, que tiene un corazón de oro y que hará cualquier cosa en su poder para hacer que las personas tengan que comer, que estén vestidos y que tengan cuidado.


En estos momentos ella necesita un poco de ayuda. Durante los últimos dos años Mayra ha estado cuidando a su esposo Dan, quien fue diagnosticado con una forma muy agresiva de demencia. La Salud de Dan se ha deteriorado muy rápidamente y de igual manera la de Mayra.

Por su parte, Mayrita sufre una neuropatía que le deja con dolor debilitante en sus extremidades y le impide trabajar. Este año fue sometida a una doble cirugía que le ha impedido poder cuidar físicamente de Dan. Con gran dolor, se vio obligada a buscar ayuda e internar a Dan en un hogar de cuidado asistido.

Para poder mantener su hogar, ha tenido que reducir sus gastos y hacer varios sacrificios significativos. Uno de los cuales ha sido vender su vehículo. Sin un vehículo, Mayra esta dependiendo de la caridad de otros para poder visitar a Dan y para hacer diligencias necesarias en su ciudad. 

El dinero recaudado en esta campaña ayudará a Mayrita a encontrar un vehículo usado y a pagar algunos gastos extras mientras ella consigue levantarse de nuevo. Este ha sido un tiempo difícil para todos en la familia, pero especialmente para ella. Cualquier aporte cuenta :) Gracias por tomarse el tiempo para leer su historia.
