Help Maya’s Mom, Larisa Fight Brain Cancer

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this on behalf of my dear friend, Maya, who is going through one of the most heartbreaking battles a person can face. Maya’s mother, Larisa, was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, and their world has been turned upside down.

Maya is one of the most loving, selfless, and resilient people I know. She's a devoted single mom raising two beautiful children, doing everything in her power to keep her family safe, healthy, and cared for. Now, she’s also the primary caregiver for her own mother — the woman who raised her, supported her, and has always been a source of strength and love.

Maya’s mom urgently needs chemotherapy and radiation therapy to fight this cancer. The medical bills are piling up fast — treatment, medications, transportation, and supportive care are all adding a financial burden to an already devastating situation.

I’m creating this fundraiser because I know how hard it is for Maya to ask for help — she’s always been the one to give it. But right now, she needs all of us. And most importantly, her mom needs a fighting chance.
