Help Maya's Family Through This Difficult Time

Hi, my name is Maya and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and great humility to ask for help during one of the most difficult times of my life.

Recently, I had to undergo emergency surgery due to a life-threatening pregnancy complication. My baby’s placenta implanted over my previous c-section scar and began protruding through my uterus bulging into my bladder—a rare and extremely dangerous condition (placenta percreta). I was forced to make the unthinkable decision: to have a TFMR (termination for medical reasons) in order to save my life.

As a mom, it was the most heartbreaking choice I have ever had to make. I wanted to give my son life—but I also have a daughter at home who depends on me, and I knew I had to be here for her.

Right now, I am on bed rest and will remain so until my follow-up appointment, where doctors will determine if I need a full six weeks off or can return to work sooner. During this time, I will be receiving short-term disability, but unfortunately, it will not come close to covering our family's monthly bills and living expenses.

My husband is doing all he can to hold everything together, but I want to help ease his burden so he can focus on caring for our family without the constant stress of financial strain.

We are asking for help—any amount, no matter how small, will go toward covering essentials like rent, utilities, groceries, and medical bills during my recovery. Your support means everything to us, whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing our story.
