Maya More isn’t just a gifted painter—she’s a quiet force of creativity and care who’s been enriching our community for years. Her soft, soulful style radiates love and light, bringing joy to families, children, and elders alike. You may know her from her public art installations, her face painting at community events, or her joyful presence at Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United games. Her art feels like a breath of fresh airand her heart is even bigger.

In neighborhoods where resources are limited but potential is immense, Maya has been a beacon. She’s led workshops using recycled supplies, painted murals with local youth, and hosted spaces where young people feel seen, safe, and inspired. For many of them, Maya is the first person who has shown them that their voice—and their creativity—matters.

This summer, Maya received life-changing news: she’s been accepted into a prestigious 8-week immersion program at the Florence Academy of Art in Sweden. There, she’ll study classical techniques, portrait work, and master-level drawing in a nurturing environment that will help her grow as an artist and a teacher. This isn’t just her dream—it’s a leap toward a future where she can open permanent spaces for art and healing, right here in the community.

Since being accepted, Maya has poured her heart into making this happen. She’s already covered most of her travel and housing costs through local shows and workshops—what remains is the final hurdle: tuition.
