Hi, my name is Maya. I’m a full-time mom and full-time student working hard to build a better future for myself and my almost 2-year-old son. This August, I’m starting school at Valdosta State University to pursuing my dream.

I recently had to leave my full-time job because my Jon schedule made it impossible to go to school full-time. Since then, I’ve been actively applying for jobs that fit my new schedule but despite my efforts, I haven’t been able to find one. That’s why I’m creating this GoFundMe because I still have bills to pay, a child to care for, and school expenses that are adding up fast.

While I’ve applied for financial aid and assistance programs, most of them either don’t apply to me or I’ve been denied for making “too much” even though nearly all my income has gone toward basic survival. I’ve tried everything I can, and now I’m turning to my community for support.
