"HELP MAYA FIGHT BREAST CANCER WITH HOPE & HEALING"
My name is Rev Ronn constable, Former director of Brooklyn Teen Challenge and former staff minister of Faith Fellowship World Outreach Center (now Epic Church) in Sayreville New Jersey.
I am fundraising for my dearest friend Maya Azagra, godmother to my daughter Arianna.
Maya has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast cancer. She has begun Chemotherapy in Singapore where the cost of these necessary drugs is extremely high. The following is the heartfelt statement from her husband, Von Azagra.
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
With a heavy but hopeful heart, I reach out to you today to share the journey of my beloved wife, Maya. After years of trying different ways to address a lump in her breast — from natural methods to dietary changes and countless consultations — we recently received a diagnosis that has changed our lives: Maya has an aggressive form of breast cancer that has already spread to her lymph nodes and liver.
This news was devastating. But in the midst of our fear, God led us to a new path. Through prayer and unexpected confirmation, we were guided to a compassionate doctor in Singapore who has given us something no one else could: real hope. After running necessary tests and scans, he confirmed that while Maya’s condition is advanced, it is treatable — with the right chemotherapy protocol and immediate action.
Maya now needs to undergo 9 cycles of targeted chemotherapy treatment. Each treatment cycle is costly, and the total cost is estimated between PHP 5 to 7 million Philippine pesos (approximately USD 90,000 to 120,000). As a family, we are doing all we can, but the burden is beyond our capacity. This is why we humbly open this GoFundMe and ask for your prayers, encouragement, and, if possible, your financial support.
We are not giving up. Maya is a fighter — a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend — and we believe with all our hearts that she still has so much more life to live and love to give. We believe in God’s healing, and in the kindness of people who walk with us in this difficult season.
Your support will directly go to:
Chemotherapy sessions and medications
Hospital and diagnostic costs
Doctor consultations and laboratory tests
Post-treatment recovery and follow-up care
No amount is too small. Even your prayers and words of encouragement are a great blessing to us. Please feel free to share this page with others who may be moved to help.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing with us that life is still ahead, and hope is not lost.
With love and gratitude,
Von & Maya
