Monday morning, my niece Maya was taken to her doctor due to complaints of stomach pain, diarrhea, a fever, and a constant feeling of having to poop. The doctor saw her and sent her to the ER to get an ultrasound. The ER found a mass in her belly but didn't know what it was, so they sent her to a pediatric hospital to have more tests done. Long story short, they have diagnosed my niece with Lymphatic Malformation. It's a birth defect that affects the lymphatic system. My sister Laura obviously wants Maya cared for, but she is starting to stress about the doctors'/hospital bills that will be accompanying these visits. We're not sure how much they will be yet, but I wanted to take a little stress off her plate so she can put her focus on my beautiful niece, Maya. Maya will be okay, but she will be spending a lot of time with doctors' visits and follow-ups. Anything helps! We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
