Hello, my name is Stacy Coley. My sister, Maya Coley, is someone who will and has helped anyone in need. She always gives without asking for anything in return. Well, right now, I'm asking on her behalf! Maya is scheduled to have surgery on Wednesday, April 2nd. The surgery is a Hemilaminectomy, also known as a Laminotomy. It's a spine surgery that involves removing part of one or both laminae (the roof of the vertebra) to enlarge the spinal canal and relieve pressure on compressed nerves.

Maya has suffered over the past 20 years with back issues. It has progressively gotten worse in the past 3 years. She's been diagnosed with Herniated Disc, Bulging Disc, Sciatica, Scoliosis and Arthritis. As, Maya, would say, "But God!" She has been to several specialists and have tried multiple treatments and medications, with nothing fully helping. We finally feel like this surgery is the answer to countless prayers and we are excited for the possibility of Maya being able to have a better quality of Life!

Here's how you can assist! The estimated cost for her surgery is $81,840.53. Thankful for medical insurance but her estimated portion to pay is $3,098.00. Her recovery time is 6 weeks. Through utilizing FMLA, after 2 weeks of No Pay, she will be able to get 60% of her pay for the additional 4 weeks.
