Help Maxwell Rebuild After the Pacific Palisades Fires

Hello, my name is Maxwell. I recently moved to Los Angeles filled with excitement to start fresh and build a new life in this beautiful city. Just two months ago, I found a small room to rent in the Palisades Highlands neighborhood.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck when the fires devastated the area. The Palisades Highlands, which was ground zero for the fires, was severely impacted. I was literally in the dead center of it when it happened and I lost not only my apartment, but also much of my work and stability due to people evacuating, moving away, and/or the financial impact of the fires. While starting over in a new city is both exciting and challenging, this has been quite the introduction to LA.

I’m reaching out for support to help me get back on my feet. As someone new to LA, I’m still building a support network, don’t yet have a car, and am doing everything I can to rebuild. I've been living in-and-out of hotels, have a rental car for a few more days, and luckily (as of Jan 29) just got approved for the 211 LA Hilton 7 days for free in a hotel due to the fires! :D

Despite everything, I love this city and the people, and have every intention of staying and contributing to the community I’ve grown so fond of.
