Maxwell and I met years ago while staying at a hostel in San Francisco. Over time, we became close friends, and I’ve seen firsthand how much he’s struggled with mental health and addiction. Despite his challenges, Maxwell has always shown kindness and a good heart. It’s heartbreaking to watch him go through this, especially knowing how hard he’s tried to get better.
Right now, Maxwell doesn’t have stable housing or access to the care he truly needs. The free programs in the city haven’t worked for him—they often let him go without real support, and he ends up back where he started. Sadly, most people in Maxwell’s life, including his family, have turned their backs on him. He doesn’t have many people in his corner, and I know how much it would mean for him to see that others still care. I’ve seen his potential and his struggle to do better, and I truly believe that with the right help, things could be different.
That’s why I’m reaching out to the community: I want to raise funds to get Maxwell into a private program that can give him the structure and care he needs, along with a safe place to stay. I believe this could be the turning point that helps him get back on his feet and start working again. I’m doing everything I can to help Maxwell, but as a parent myself, it’s a lot to handle alone. I’ve never turned my back on him, but I need help to give him a real chance at a better life.
Any amount you can give will help Maxwell find hope, stability, and a fresh start. He’s only 30 years old, and with your support, I know he can build a brighter future. Your help would mean everything to both of us—thank you for caring and for being part of his journey.
