Help Max's Family Through Her Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Hey everyone! This is Jay, Maxs dad! On Sept 25th /2023 , our world got turned upside down. Our wild , and crazy Max, was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. A very aggressive, bone cancer. We had no preexisting symptoms, or signs of this terrible disease . She had a rather large solid tumor, attached to her left rib cage, partially on her diaphragm, and couple spots on her chest wall. While we were lucky in the fact it had not spread anywhere else, it is still heartbreaking. We instantly had her port placed, and started chemo on Halloween 24’ .before her first treatments, we headed to Pittsburg, where she underwent an ovary removal surgery, this will be saved, and frozen, until she is of age, and decides, to have kids of her own!! After the first 12 rounds of a very strong chemo cycle, Max had the tumor , and 3 ribs removed She handled the chemo, and surgery , like it was nothing! After surgery healed a little , we were able to start with a very intense 6 week radiation treatment. During the first part of radiation , her port stopped working , and she had to undergo an additional surgery, to replace the old port. Due to the first rounds of chemo, surgery , and radiation, her numbers have been very low, and now has pushed final 16 weeks of treatment back, far into the year.

We’re are extremely luckily, to have such a strong, and brave little girl to deal with this. She has handled everything 100x better than any adult I know would, and continues to smile everyday.

This is the part no one ever likes doing, but our families are in need of some help. The last few months have really dug deep into all of our pockets, and the scheduling has been even worse. We had radiation 5 days a week, for 6 weeks straight . Her chemo cycles run, 5 days straight in the hospital. Labs / appointments the following week, then 2 day out patient treatments. Then is starts all over again. We have this for another 15 weeks at minimum. That’s with no further delays.

This fundraiser will be split evenly between me, and Maxs mother. If you know either of us, you would know, we are not the type to ask for any help. This has unfortunately taken a very hard toll on us financially. This will help provide Max, with the best care possible through this last phase of treatment.

Thank you all so so much!
