Help Max's Beautiful Life

Dear friends,

As many of you know my life has taken a very sudden turn due to a serious, life-threatening health condition. Much of what used to fill my days has evaporated nearly overnight, including almost all of my work and income, as healing has become a full-time job.

My condition requires immediate and intensive treatment if I am going to live and live well. It's likely to be a 2-year journey to health in the best circumstances.

Despite having insurance, the medical bills are huge and keep coming. I am just at the very start of treatment and have already spent close to $4000 in co-pays, mainly on diagnostics.

I humbly ask for your support.

If I have touched your life in some way and you are able, please give as generously as you can, so that I can have the health care I need to give my body the best chance to heal. It truly does take a village, and I must reach out to all my beautiful villages now for help. This is profoundly humbling and not easy. But I can't do this without you.

Update at 8 months into the journey & other ways to give:

I'm raising my goal because I have used almost all of the funds previously raised. And the journey continues!

I am only able to work a tiny bit, so I have almost no income (currently about $1000 from Patreon and my Brilliant Playmates community--see below), and am doing a ton of treatments that add up currently to about $2000/month.

I need to raise funds to carry me through the end of this year to cover my monthly living expenses (about another $2000 a month) and health care expenses. Please give as generously as you can do so joyfully. There are several ways to support me financially:

1. Give here on the GoFundMe site. (Please note that GoFundMe has a default option to give them 15% to cover their costs. You can just move that slider to zero so I receive your whole donation or to wherever you like.)
