My name is Maxine, and I’m reaching out for help for myself, my husband Michael, and our beloved pets—three cats and two dogs. The day after Thanksgiving, our lives were turned upside down when the RV we were living in caught fire, leaving us suddenly homeless. We managed to secure another RV and were working hard to get it running, but before we could get back on our feet, our only car was totaled in a hit and run accident on December 8th.

Right now, we’re staying at a local motel, but our funds have run out. Michael’s health is extremely poor, and he needs oxygen at night, which makes our situation even more urgent. We’ve reached out to every agency we can, and while the Red Cross has been a lifeline, resources are limited in our rural part of the state. Everything takes time, and being without a car makes it even harder to access help and secure a safe place to stay each night.

We’re asking for support to help cover motel stays, food, pet supplies, transportation, and the repairs and space rent needed to get our RV running again.
