Help Maxine Rebuild Her Cherished Home

Dear Friends of Maxine ,

It is with a heavy heart that we share news of a devastating loss within our community. Maxine Waters Andrews, the wife of former Long Beach Vice Mayor Dee Andrews, has been deeply affected by the recent Los Angeles fires.

Maxine’s home in Altadena, which she lovingly owned for 50 years, was tragically destroyed. This home was not only a sanctuary but also a treasure trove of memories; such as, her. Gold and platinum albums, including mementos from her remarkable musical career, her presentation wardrobe, and the fruits of decades of dedication and hard work.

Maxine was forced to leave with nothing but the clothes on her back and her medication. This loss is unimaginable, and our thoughts are with her during this incredibly difficult time.

Let us come together as a community to offer our support and compassion to Maxine and her family during this tough transition.
