With heavy hearts, We—Rosa L. Martinez, Maria Martinez, Rosalba Tavarez, Cynthia Martinez, and Maximo Martinez Jr.—are reaching out to ask for support for our parents, Maximo and Rosa Martinez, after an unimaginable tragedy. On February 4th, their home was completely destroyed by a fire while our father was inside. By God’s grace, he was able to escape, but he sustained severe burns and is currently in critical condition. Our family is taking this moment by moment, and we are incredibly grateful for every prayer and sign of support.

In an instant, our parents lost everything, from daily necessities to a lifetime of memories built in their home. As they face a long and uncertain road to recovery, they now need help securing temporary shelter, clothing, medical-related expenses, and other basic necessities. Our parents have always been the kind of people who show up for others without hesitation. If you know our dad, you know he is famous for making everyone smile with his jokes and warm spirit. Now, they are the ones in need.
