Help Maxime Recover - Support Local Seedlings
Donation protected
Many of you know our fantastic local seedling lady - Maxime Revell. Maxime is a regular face at our local markets, and also supplies local stores with organic seedlings. Many of our gardens look like they do as a result of her work. And it is hard work - in her words " I call these seedlings babies - because they are. These little lives start off under their blanket of specifically made seed raising mix, I hand sow every one, and every seed holds a piece of me."
The recent floods caused massive damage at her property. She lost over $9000 worth of seedlings, with a landslip running onto her land, blocking the creek and creating a flood across her property. That landslip will require significant work to make safe. The flood also damaged her dam and her water tank (which now also needs replacing).

After losing her partner to cancer a few years back, Maxime runs her farm single handedly, and does not have the finance to clear the landslip, repair the land and start again. Having local seedlings available is an invaluable resource for our region - and we ask that you please support her so she can continue to support us.
The funding is needed for the following work:
Stock replacement: $9024
Driveway repair to enable traffic: $5000
Machinery work to re-align the creek back into it's original bank: $13000
Water Tank replacement: $5000
Second Slip repair with Gabian Rock: $4500

The photo above shows some of the stock lost as a result of the flood. Every dollar helps. Please help keep local seedlings in our region and help Maxime get back on her feet. Thank you.
