Meet Maxime – A Fighter Like No Other

Maxime is 17 years old, and his journey is nothing short of extraordinary.

In 2014, Maxime was diagnosed with HLH (Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis) – a rare and life-threatening condition. He spent 5 weeks in a coma, battling multiple organ failure, and was given less than a 1% chance of survival. But Maxime defied the odds.

In 2015, he received a life-saving bone marrow transplant. The following year, complications from the transplant led to GVHD (Graft-versus-Host Disease). He was placed in a medically induced coma for another 6 weeks and was given just 24 hours to live – more than once. Yet again, Maxime fought through.

In 2021, at only 13 years old, Maxime faced another devastating blow: stage 2B colon cancer. After enduring treatment, he was declared cancer-free by July.

But now, in 2025, the cancer is back. And once again, Maxime is fighting with everything he has.

Through every unimaginable challenge, Maxime has shown resilience, courage, and a will to live that inspires everyone around him. Now, he needs our help.
