Hi, my name is Rachel, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life. Just recently, my sweet dog Max suffered a sudden and traumatic spinal injury that has left him unable to move his legs. It all started when he had a fall that didn't seem serious at first, but within hours, his condition worsened. He began crying in pain when we touched or moved him, and soon, he was unable to move any of his legs at all. It was terrifying to see him go from a happy, healthy pup to completely paralyzed and in pain. After rushing him to the vet, we received devastating news: Max has a misalignment in his neck vertebrae that's compressing his spinal cord. He urgently needs an MRI and spinal surgery to have any chance at recovery and walking again. Without treatment, Max will remain paralyzed and in pain — or worse.
The vet immediately began stabilizing him by placing a splint around his neck to keep him from moving and making the injury worse, and also did an X-ray. They are doing everything they can to save his life and give him a chance at recovery.
The next steps are critical:
* Advanced imaging like MRI or CT scans
* Emergency spinal surgery
* Hospitalization, medications, and long-term physical therapy
All of these come at a devastating cost — an estimated $20,000 in total medical expenses. I am doing everything in my power, but I simply cannot afford this alone. He means the world to me, and I can't give up on him.
He is still responsive. He feels small sensations and is trying to fight. The vet believes there is still hope for recovery — but only if we act quickly and can afford the full treatment plan.
If you can donate any amount, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us. Even just sharing this page can make a huge difference.
I love Max more than words can explain — he's not just a pet, he's my family, my shadow, my emotional support. He's always been the one to bring joy and comfort to others, and now he needs us.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me fight to give my dog the chance he deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Rachel and Max ❤️
