HELP three disabled lesbians MOVE IN together!

Hello! We're Max (that's me!), Rose (my partner), and Red (our friend). We're all disabled and LGBTQ, and we're moving in together for financial security and queer community.

UPDATE: We were initially aiming to move in together at the beginning of August, but our move has unfortunately been delayed by up to a full month (potentially until the beginning of September) due to the two-bedroom unit we were promised, not being ready in time for us to transfer into. Red drove up to NC before we received this news, so we're now living in our cramped one-bedroom until we're able to move. As such, the below information has been updated to reflect our new situation and expected moving timeline.

Details of the move:

Red has driven up from Georgia to North Carolina to move in with Rose and I, as we transfer from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom unit in our current apartment complex. We're in contact with the property manager to make this happen, and they're on board - so things are already in motion and we're hopefully moving into our new apartment September 1st. This is when the first month's rent and security deposit are due.

Rose and I have been struggling financially for years, and these recent months have been especially difficult for us. I work to support the two of us and our dog Billie with my income, and all of our income goes toward living expenses. This is why the move is going to be difficult to cover on our side, so we're asking for help! With Red living with us now, we're able to save up more than before, and any and all donations will be untouched until the time comes to pay for rent and deposits on our new apartment.

Here's the outline of the fees we expect to encounter:

Total: $2,225

The goal of this fundraiser is higher than the total of this list, to go toward any unexpected and unforeseen costs, as well as living expenses like groceries since we'll have to take time off of work during the move. If we receive the maximum amount of donations, all of our immediate necessary experiences will be covered, but everything extra is appreciated and a big help. At the very least, even just reaching $1,000 in donations will take a huge weight off our shoulders.

All three of us are disabled and LGBTQ. We're hoping that by launching this fundraiser during pride month, that'll help this fundraiser be shared and us get the support that we need to move forward with this hopeful new chapter in our lives. We've been friends for years and have visited in person, so we know that we connect well, and have high hopes for all the improvements that moving in together will bring us.
